Mission Statement

The Banner Community Guild is building a community of shared values that honor our differences while seeking our common ground in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

We come together in service and spirit to exchange ideas, preserve the sovereign rights of small family farmers and ranchers, and promote sustainable organic agriculture.

We do this through education, environmental stewardship, grass roots legislative advocacy, food, fellowship, and fun to enrich and support the overall well-being and health of our local community.

Projects on Our Agenda

Help Us Design Your Future Tool Library!

Let Banner Guild take care of your tools. Whatever tool you need will be in perfect working order and ready to go whenever you need it. Weed whacker fully fuelled and cord-loaded? Check. Chainsaw tuned, fuelled, clean and sharp? You bet! You name it, we’ll have it ready for you. Store your own tools and check out your neighbors’. (All photos represent our goals for the library!)

(No charge for BCG members unless items are returned late).

Every kind of tool imaginable! Our selection could look just like this!

Bring your fruit

Using our soon-to-be-launched calendaring app, book 30min time slots on the juicer. Bring your apples, pears and/or quince to our facility and save yourself the headache of having to clean up afterward! We’ll do it all.

Press it into juice

Load the washer and watch your fruit ascend the escalator, fall through the grinder and into the press. Once it’s full, turn off the grinder and on the press! Collect the juice and head on your way. We’ll take care of the pomace!

Take home half

Please bring your own vessels for transporting your fresh juice, but know that we will also have vessels for sale here. Whatever you don’t take home will stay here with us and be fermented and stored as hard cider, fermented and distilled to be blended with fresh juice and aged for our version of Pommeau, or fermented, distilled and aged into apple brandy… all for our members only. Any member contributing juice will receive an allowance of their contribution in their choice of fresh juice, hard cider, pommeau or apple brandy. One of many great benefits of membership.

Project Lottery?

Many hands make light work. As a member, you will soon be able to put your project into the hat and have all of our active members show up on the day of your choice to get that big project done that you’ve been unable to do!
